Frank Wellman was re-elected as President and Val Nalder was also re-elected as Secretary/Treasurer.  Both were unanimously re-elected. Congratulations both!
With the formalities over, it was time to admire the improvements to the hall.  The new ceiling, with its fitted fluorescent lights, not only looks good but should provide better acoustics for any events held in the hall. But for the bowlers it was all about the floor.  They were ecstatic in their praise for the recently sanded and polished floor – now level once again.
The first two barrels put down turned exactly onto the kitty, bringing loud cheers from everyone.  The new surface had met with approval.
Even though the scores reported are not high, the bowlers felt that their performances were much better than on previous weeks with the uneven floor.
The winners were Clarrie Britton, Meg Clark and Jo Bosch with 21 points. In second place were Col Pearce, Jean Britton, Muriel Wellman and Noeline Cosier on 17 points.
The Mars Bars went to Frank Wellman, Dawn Gulbin, Joan Rolands and Reg Cosier on 11 points.
